Novell NetWare 4.10 服务器的安装（ISA 网卡篇）要求对MS-DOS有较深的理解，对局域网在概念上有一定认识。
服务器的安装
1、用DOS 6.22英文版系统引导盘启动并分区（只分一个约300M左右的主分区）。
2、格式化最后再安装DOS6.22英文版;
3、优化：
(1)CONFIG中BUFFERS=30; FILES=60
(2)CONFIG中去掉EMM386;
(3)在CONFIG.SYS及AUTOEXEC.BAT中加载光驱驱动
4、用网卡驱动盘设置网卡IRQ=3; I/O=300
5、进入到NOVELL NETWARE 4.10的安装目录下，执行INSTALL。
6、Select the type of installation desired / 安装类型选择
NetWare Server Installation / 安装NETWARE 服务器软件
DOS/Windows Client Installation / 安装NETWARE工作站软件
Create Diskettes / 制作Netware安装盘
选择NetWare Server Installation 回车。
7、NetWare 4.1 / 安装NETWARE 4.1
NetWare 4.1 SFT Ⅲ / 升级到SFT Ⅲ
Display Information (README) File / 看README自述文件
选择NetWare 4.1回车。
8、Simple installation of NetWare 4.1 / 典型安装
Custom installation of NetWare 4.1 / 自定义安装
Upgrade NetWare 3.1X or 4.X / 从3X或4X升级安装
选择Custom installation of NetWare 4.1 回车。
9、Server name: / 给服务器取一个计算机名,如：TDY
10、Internal network number:XXXXXX / NOVELL IPX内部协议编号,直接回车即可。
11、接着就会出现安装的源路径及目的路径,如果需要更改的话,按下面的提示F2改源路径；
F4改目的路径。
12、文件复制成功后会出现:
Country Code: 001
Code Page: 437
Keyboard Mapping: None
这些用于设置国家编号及键盘布局等,直接回车就可以了。
13、DOS Filename Format(recommended) NetWare Filename Format
用于选择 NOVELL所使用的文件格式，一个为DOS文件格式；一个为NOVELL专用文件格式。
选DOS Filename Format(recommended) 回车。
14、接着会问你是否向NOVELL自动批处理文件中加入数据,选NO回车。
15、接着还会问你是否每次DOS引导后就自动启动NOVELL服务器,选NO 回车。
16、等了一会儿,出现Choose the Server Drivers-Disk Driver 屏幕，让你选择硬盘的类型，针对IDE 硬盘，选择ISADISK 回车即可。
17、Driver ISADISK Parameter Actions 设置硬盘的参数
Select/Modify driver parameters 修改参数
Save parameters and continue 直接存入参数并继续。
选择Save parameters and continue 并回车。
18、回车后会问你是否再加入一个硬盘设备,选择NO回车。
19、出现Choose the Server Drivers-Network Driver 屏幕,让你选择网卡类型,选择NE2000.LAN 回车。
20、出现Choose the Server Drivers-NetWork Driver Parameters 要求设置网卡参数和使用的协议，按一下TAB键，跳到NE2000_1 Parameters 框中之后按F3键,将所有的协议都选中之后按下F10键保存，再按F10键，选择“Save parameters and continue”回车。
21、之后会问你是否加入一块网卡，选NO回车。
22、接着会问你硬盘及网卡的设置是否需要修改，选择Continue installation回车。
23、要求你为4个协议加入内部网络号，直接回车就可以了。（共4次）
24、之后选择“Continue accessyng the CD-ROM via Dos ”回车，继续安装。
25、出现“Create NetWare disk partitions” 用于对硬盘进行分区（硬盘剩余的空间，Novell专用的分区）。

Manually / 手动的设置
选择Manually 回车。
